Intel AppUp Center Beta – App Store for Netbook
Intel has launched the AppUp Center Beta, its own app store for netbooks, which allows users to get the latest applications and utilities designed for Intel Atom processor based netbooks. Following the success of Apple App Store, Facebook Applications and Google’s Android Market, Intel seems to think netbook users need an App Store for their netbook too.
Applications from entertainment, finance, games, health, home and family, productivity, references, social and utilities are now available for download or purchase. Acer, Asus, Dell and Samsung are working with Intel to bring in innovative applications to Intel Atom processor based netbook users.
